Patrice and Richard Cambell both were born with abilities. Patrice had the power of flight while Richard had the power of healing. Patrice and her family moved to Yucca Mountain when she was 15 years older whereas Richard grew up in the community, never needing to leave the safe haven. Patrice on the other hand had foul experiences with the non-gifted humans and refused to believe that they couldn't discriminate. The two got together late their senior year and Richard showed Patrice that humans were not evil people, just some of them were intimidated. The two eventually got married after Richard became a doctor and Patrice helped out with a local child care center. Both adored children and couldn't wait to have kids. Their first one, Hunter, was born and the two adored him. Hunter was a handful though and eventually developed his own power. His parents were thrill of course and they never had to worry about someone taking away their son since Yucca Mountain had been officially accepted as a "power friendly" (politically correct term of course) town. They wouldn't have their darling son snatched away from them in the night. Hunter soon began school. Patrice and Richard continued to try for more kids and after two miscarriages, they succeeded with a baby girl, Allyson. Allyson was a happy-go-lucky kid with big cheeks and an even bigger energy level. Hunter took to her quickly and was the perfect older brother. She too devloped her power early in life like her older brother. Patrice and Richard couldn't be happier with their kids and had planned to stop after Allyson but two years later, with Allyson two and Hunter seven, they had their last child, Grayson. Grayson, though a surpise, was welcomed graciously into the family. Hunter was estatic to have a friend to play with and Allyson was just glad to be bigger than him. The family was very close knit but as Grayson grew older, it was soon realized that he hadn't shown any sign of having a power. This wasn't unusual of course. Some families had normal kids mixed in with gifted, it all depended on the genes. Grayson knew that his parents would love him no matter what, but he couldn't help but feel left out from the family of super heros, at least in his eyes. Though Grayson and Hunter were 7 years apart, they were still very close. Hunter was his role model and Allyson was the person he went to for advice as he entered school. He liked school of course. He was a very smart kid and got along well with others. He didn't rub anyone the wrong way, the most thing he did wrong was not speaking up very often. He was extremely shy, unless you got to know him of course. Then he was goofy and all over the place. He had a sense of humor for sure. When he was 9, 5 years older than the age of his siblings when they found out their power, he finally manifested. It was a rather scary experience. He was in the pool, a place where he was often since he had started swimming at the age of 6. Patrice and Richard were very into their kids health and made sure that they found a sport they liked and would stick with. Swimming was Graysons (Hunter's football, and Allyson's softball). He was in the pool with a few people around, no lifeguard though. A little girl slipped and fell into the pool, cracking her head on the side. Without even thinking he sprang into action. Somehow, he managed to manipulate the water to bring the girl to the side as other kids ran for help. It was then that he realized his power over water. His parents were happy than Grayson had finally manifested and he was relived. Now he could really be an equal to the rest of his family, at least in his eyes. As he got older, Hunter got more and more distant, not wanted to spend as much time with his annoying younger brother. He went off to college when Grayson was 11. Hunter still loved his younger brother of course, but he could no longer think on the same level as his little brother. Middle school rolled around and he got interested in girls like the rest of the school. He was too shy to ever talk to one of course, he preferred to help his friends out with their romantic conquests. To take out his frustration, he turned to soccer, another sport he was quite good at. He started it to make his parents proud, now that Hunter was off at college making world peace or whatever, Grayson felt a little neglected. In high school, he joined the soccer and swim team, ranking in Varsity his freshman year. He got the eye of a few girls but of course he was way too shy to say anything to them, besides that wasn't his style. He still has yet to kiss a girl, or to date one. In his junior year he's co-captain of the swim team and Varsity soccer. He still kind of hides in the shadows, hoping that someone will notice him and yank him out into the sunlight. He doesn't ask for help though. That wouldn't be something he would do. BEHIND THE MASK ALIAS hattie AGE 17 ROLEPLAY EXPERIENCE long teim FOUND US amazing char CODE WORD admin edit OTHER CHARACTERS none ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE Sebastian logged off the chatroom, actually smiling. God honest smiling. That was a total first for him he did have to admit. He was actually happy for once. Usually that chatroom made him feel even more awful about himself, after critizing anyone and everyone that managed to stay online with him for longer than to stay goodbye and log off. He didn't know why he was so mean to people, it was something he was trying a bit to work on. At least ever since he and Koda had talked in the school hallway about a week ago. That had probably been the hardest thing to say to anyone in his life yet he felt so much better afterwards. Emotions were not his cup of tea. He was so used to putting on the neutral face and the asshole front that it had become a part of him. It was practically fused to his DNA. He shut off his laptop and closed it and got up from his desk. He tiptoe to his door and opened it, poking his head out. He could hear the sounds of videogames coming from the gameroom and his two older brother's voices. He sighed and turned back around into his room to get dressed. He pulled on jeans over his boxers and put on just a simple grey v-neck. He wasn't really feeling up for dressing nicely today. Besides, he was just meeting Koda in the park. He smiled at that thought. Meeting Koda in the park. He couldn't believe he was actually saying that. He grabbed his jacket and his vans, slipping both on before leaving his room. He opened his door again and tiptoed down the hallway and towards the stairs. A floorboard squeaked and he winced and then he heard one of his brothers call out. "Hey Sebs come here for a moment!" What could only be Lance snickered. He grit his teeth and rolled his eyes. "No Lance, I'm going out." He said in a clipped tone. He heard the noises of the game stop and the unmistakable sound of footsteps. He sighed and turned around to face his older brothers. Lance leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms and Brady smirked at him, his arms crossed as well. "Where you goin little bro?" Brady asked, raising an eyebrow. "None of your damn business." Sebastian fired back, his eyes narrowing. Both of the brother's eyes widened. "Brady I think wittle Sebastian's learned how to fight back." Lance said with a laugh and Sebastian grit his teeth and turned around and started walking toward the stairs once more. "Woah hold it there sport. You never told us where you were going." Lance called out and Sebastian gave him the middle finger and took the stairs two at a time. He heard the chuckles of his brothers and then the noises of their video games. He finally made it out the door and he opened it and closed it quickly, leaning against it when he got outside and took in a shaky breath. God he hated his family. After he got himself in control again he pushed off the door and headed down the driveway and toward the street. The park was only about mile from his house and he didn't feel like driving there. He was actually going to walk for once. He shoved his hands in his pockets and tried to keep his mind away from his parents and siblings. Lance and Brady were perhaps the worst human beings on the planet and together they caused so much turmoil in him. It was really no wonder he hadn't killed himself or killed something else by now. The only thing that kept him sane was taking it out on other people. Which now that he really thought of it was a terrible thing to do. He had been rethinking a lot lately, about himself and his actions anyways. He supposed it had started with that talk with Koda. Really made him see that he wasn't alone in his fight for happiness and that perhaps the two of them could maybe find a spark of happniess together. God that idea scared him. He had never believed in love. It was just a false dream for him, having never had it growing up. Now that it was staring him down smack dab in front of him he could see how great it could be. But did he love Koda? He knew it was too early to tell. He sighed and hoped that Koda was already there or would show up soon after him. He really needed someone to hold on to. He turned into the park entrance and looked around at the benches and the people milling around. Koda wasn't there yet. He plopped himself down on a bench to wait, his hands unable to keep still. He bit his lip and took in a deep breath. "Please get here soon." He whispered to himself. |
