As a child he was adventurous and somewhat spoiled by a wealthy family of a small town. He was the older of two children, and being an older brother taught him to be protective over females in general. He was also very close to his mother, and through the female relationships in his life, he grew to love them and respect them. He grew up with his dad's influence on sports, and his high school days were filled with basketball and lacrosse. During his third year of high school, he developed an alcohol addiction and drug problems with the partying and peer pressure that compounded on top of the pressure in his family life and sports career. He was sent to boot camp for the summer before senior year, and he was able to get himself under control and focus on the bigger picture. The addiction he once had held an influence over him for the rest of his days, and he believes that he has overcome a great obstacle. He makes it a priority to stay clean and focus on his health, but he drinks every once in a while, and it never really ends well. Boot camp also brought out a callousness in him that he never actually new of before, and resentment was bred from it. He now has some temper issues that occur in his most heated moments, and he deals with his emotions in a more physical way than he did before boot camp. His original plan as a child was to attend Virginia Tech as soon as he was old enough, but those plans changed when his father foreshadowed a huge family move when he was sixteen. He prepared for the transition, but he hoped that he would be able to go to his dream college. He kept his options open, and with his immense talent he was able to apply to various colleges across the country. His athletic abilities allowed him to receive numerous scholarships, and schooling in Nevada was not a problem for him. He was quick to make friends at his brand new school, but he didn't get close to many. He is not a ladies' man and shies away from close relationships. He keeps to himself and stayed closer to his family and sister instead of making too many numerous platonic relationships. He keeps in touch with his friends from Virginia and plans to visit as soon as he can catch a break from his busy college life and lacrosse. After finding Tiffany Prescott during a hike, he developed a thick relationship with her and currently lives with her in his apartment. He remains very close to his family and is trying to help Tiffany with her shifting. BEHIND THE MASK ALIAS lam AGE sixteen ROLEPLAY EXPERIENCE five years FOUND US char! ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE When Mr. Beldivere asked about Cody (which was nearly every time Keani spoke to him), he always hinted at his theory that Cody would be running back to Keani at some point. When the end of their romance happened, he always told her that he had faith in Cody. Even now the man believed that Cody was coming back to stay in Keani's life. It was impossible with all of the obstacles the two had to overcome, but Keani had a glimmer of hope that her father was right. She had feelings for Nate during their short relationship, but she couldn't help but wonder if those feelings were truly as intense as the ones she had for Cody. She still felt strongly about Cody, even if she would never admit it out loud. It felt amoral that her heart was pulling itself closer to Cody's after what happened, but she couldn't help herself. Who could? Girls fell for Cody left and right. Sometimes Keani felt truly lucky just to be around him. Keani doubled over, laughing, as Cody choked on a swig of beer. “Wow,” he coughed, “Low blow, low blow,” Keani cringed as she watched Cody think of an equally humiliating response. “I have never dated Jack Bailey,” he said. Keani always pushed the memories to the back of her mind, but the truth was that Jack Bailey was her first love. It was in college, and the times were different back then. Jack seemed... decent at the time. No one would have predicted that the two were connected had they met them now. Back then, they were a great couple, but Keani was so glad to be out of the depths of Jack's darkness. She drank long and deep, shamefully shaking her head at the thought of the emotions she felt for Jack. "And you should never. He's a jerk," she said, censoring all of the other words she could use to describe him. She stared at her half-empty bottle, already feeling very loose. A finger found itself on her chin as the thought of another good statement for their game of Never. "Hmm," she hummed out loud. She found herself gazing into Cody's eyes once again, sighing deeply. She looked down into her lap. "Ah-ha!" She grinned at Cody triumphantly. "I never shared drinks with the infamous Damon Reyes." Damon's alcoholism was a sad fact, but joking about it relieved the worry that overcame his family. The fact was that Damon was going through a hard time after the loss of his wife, and everyone had a bit of sympathy for him -- even Keani. Keani disliked Damon more than she disliked many people, mostly because she was completely protective over Cody. She still felt compassion toward the guy, though, and she wasn't mean to him all of the time. Damon definitely returned the disdainful feelings that they had for each other, and Cody stood in the middle. Damon was like the bad influence that Keani wanted to protect Cody from. |
